- This item is only necessary for certain makes and models and is not required for most conversions.
Dodge Ram, Dodge Charger, Volvos, New Model BMW Fog lights are a few of the ones that require this fix.
Certain vehicles experience a strobing effect once they are converted to HID Lights. This is caused by the main computer resulting from a drop in running wattage of the new lights. Stock Halogen bulbs run at 55W, once converted to HID - the lights are running at only 35W. The computer detects this change which leads to the lights strobing on and off.
This item comes with (2) pictured devices to be added to each side of the HID system. It is installed between the vehicle headlight harness and the HID kit in order to fix the strobing problem and convert the 35W current of the HID kit into 55W before detection by the main computer.
In order for the Canceller kit to work, the HID Kit on the car must have a wiring harness present (be connected to the battery, with fuses and relays). Please make sure that if you do not have the wiring harness already that you add it to your cart at checkout.
